Greg Jennings Signs with Vikes
The Minnesota Vikings finally have a legit number one wide receiver in Greg Jennings. Jennings signed a five year, $47.5 million dollar deal with the Vikings that includes $18 million guaranteed.
Jennings is 5'11" and weighs 198 pounds. He played his first seven seasons in the NFL with Green Bay and accumulated 53 total touchdowns including 12 in both 2007 & 2010. He missed eight games last year with a hamstring issue.
With Percy Harvin now gone, Jennings fills a HUGE hole the Vikes had at wide receiver. Besides Jennings, notable receivers the Vikes have are re-signed Jerome Simpson and second year player, Jarius Wright who showed flashes last year in limited playing time. Minnesota still needs to draft at least one wide out in the first couple picks they have in April.
The Jennings signing appears to be a great move by the Vikes assuming he stays healthy and that Christian Ponder can actually get him the ball.
